Bulls continue to hone their losing technique

Can somebody tell me why a Chicago sports fan should pay big bucks to see the Bulls play instead of just going to see the Windy City Bulls? While the Windy City bulls are in the D-League, the Chicago Bulls are playing guys that would feel more at home in that league. The Bulls provided another example of that with a 135-102 loss to the Denver Nuggets. For the rest of this NBA season, when it comes to the Bulls, I feel like it's, “Move along, nothing to see here”.

Derrick Rose 2.0?

An interesting NBA story is developing in San Antonio. Some Spurs are reportedly upset about the fact that Kawhi Leonard has not returned to the court despite being medically cleared to come back from a quad injury. This story looks to be Derrick Rose with the Bulls 2.0. Gregg Popovich is considered one of the best coaches in the NBA. That reputation could be put to the test in this situation.

When he does come back, he'll be rested.

The Leonard situation is another example of why I find the NBA harder and harder to like. It seems like there is more and more concern by players about cashing checks than there is actually playing. Players have been taking more and more games off during the season. It's ironic that one of Popovich's players has taken it to an extreme.

A tackle named Suh.

In NFL free agency news, Ndamukong Suh is still deciding which team to join. CBS sports reports the Rams or Titans are the most likely landing spots for Suh. Suh is another example of a good player whose huge contract negated his value to a team. In addition to that, Suh's lack of discipline on the field doesn't make him seem like a team oriented guy.

A thorough physical needed

In NBA draft news, Oklahoma guard, Trea Young will be in this year's NBA draft. Whichever team draft's him might want to check to make sure he doesn't have a hernia from carrying that Oklahoma team all season.

Looking good

The Cubs seem focused going into the 2018 season. I'm not a gambler, but the Cubs over/under for wins in the upcoming season is set at 93.5. I'd take the over. The Cubs seem more focused than hungover this season. Plus, the starting pitching seems to be stronger.

Last season the Cubs were 43-45 at the all star break. I seriously doubt they won't be substantially better the first half of next season. In addition, Kyle Schwarber looks to be poised for a huge season. Schwarber looks like a different guy after losing 30 pounds. No wonder the Cubs have been so high on him.

In addition, Ian Happ should build on an excellent rookie season. I still don't look for much out of Jason Heyward, but hey, you can't have everything.
