1. Johnny
Morris. Johnny was a good receiver for a franchise not noted for
that sort of thing.
2. Phil Garner. Phil
was named an all star three times.
3. Lanny McDonald. Lanny was a great
scorer and his mustache looked like Tom Selleck’s on steroids.
4. Steve Bedrosian. Steve was named
to the All Star team in 1987. Other than that, he had a workman like
career.
5. Hewritt Dixon. Hewritt’s
best season was in 1967 when he ran for 861 yards and caught passes
for another 360. He was named All Pro that year.
6. Tom Meschery. Tom had a nice 10
year career in the NBA, averaging 12.7 ppg and being named to the All
Star team once.
7. Willie Montanez. Despite
some interesting numbers, Willie had a WAR of only 1.7 to show for
his 14 seasons in the majors.
8. Steve Stipanovich. Stipo averaged
13.2 ppg. And 7.8 rebounds per game during his career. Not bad, but
you expect more from the second overall pick in the draft.
9. Craig James. Craig had a nice
rookie season and rushed for 1227 yards in his second year with the
patriots before things started going downhill.
10. Tom
Mack. It’s great when a man can lock down an offensive line
position for that long an at such a high level.
