1. This man started his career with the Dallas Texans and moved with the team when they became the Kansas City Chiefs. He played both linebacker and center for the franchise and was named to the Pro Bowl six times and All Pro twice. (3 points)

2. A surprisingly good athlete for a big man, this man spent most of his 19 year career with the Cubs. He went 20-10 for them in 1977. (3 points)

3. This shooting guard out of Kansas State helped the Dallas Maverick on the road to respectability. (3 points)

4. Primarily an infielder, this man began his career in 1958 with the Cubs, but spent most of his 19 year career with the Phillies. He also spent some time with the Tigers in the early 70s. (4 points)

5. This Calder Trophy winner had a 14 year NHL carrier, mostly with the Canadians. In 10 years in Montreal, he scored 200 goals and picked up 322 assists. (4 points)

6. “Pops” was the heart of the Pittsburgh Pirates during his 21 year run with the team. (1 point)

10. Though not quite as well known as some other middle linebackers, this Dallas Cowboy was named to five Pro Bowls and two All Pro teams. His career spanned from 1963-76. (3 points)

1. E. J. Holub. E. J. actually played two ways when he began his career with the franchise. He was an excellent linebacker who converted to full time center when his knees became a huge issue.

2. Rick Reuschel. Rick also had some good seasons with the Pirates and Giants.

3. Rolando Blackmon. In 11 seasons with the Mavs Ro averaged 19.2 ppg. He finished his career with he Knicks.

4. Tony Taylor. Tony was the prototypical middle infielder for his time, decent glove, fast and with little power.

5. Bobby Rousseau. After his time with the Canadians, Bobby spent a season with the Minnesota North Stars and then the New York Rangers.

6. Willie Stargell. Willie slugged 475 home runs during his career, twice leading the NL in that category.

7. Ottis Anderson. I had forgotten just how good Ottis, aka. O. J., was with the Cardinals. He had five seasons of over 1000 yards rushing while in St. Louis. He also scored 51 TDs for the team. Dude was good.

8. Rod Strickland. A quick point guard, he was excellent at penetration. He was at his best with the Trailblazers.

9. Richie Ashburn. Richie was productive right up to the end of his career.

10. Lee Roy Jordan. Lee Roy intercepted 32 passes and recovered 18 fumbles during his career.
