1. E. J. Holub. E. J. actually
played two ways when he began his career with the franchise. He was
an excellent linebacker who converted to full time center when his
knees became a huge issue.
2. Rick Reuschel. Rick also had some
good seasons with the Pirates and Giants.
3. Rolando Blackmon. In 11 seasons
with the Mavs Ro averaged 19.2 ppg. He finished his career with he
Knicks.
4. Tony Taylor. Tony was the
prototypical middle infielder for his time, decent glove, fast and
with little power.
5. Bobby Rousseau. After his time
with the Canadians, Bobby spent a season with the Minnesota North
Stars and then the New York Rangers.
6. Willie Stargell. Willie slugged
475 home runs during his career, twice leading the NL in that
category.
7. Ottis Anderson. I had forgotten
just how good Ottis, aka. O. J., was with the Cardinals. He had five
seasons of over 1000 yards rushing while in St. Louis. He also
scored 51 TDs for the team. Dude was good.
8. Rod Strickland. A quick point
guard, he was excellent at penetration. He was at his best with the
Trailblazers.
9. Richie Ashburn. Richie was
productive right up to the end of his career.
10. Lee Roy Jordan. Lee Roy
intercepted 32 passes and recovered 18 fumbles during his career.
