Tom Brady's jersey still missing, NBA squabbles and the Yankees make a move
There are still things settling in after the New England
Patriots historic Super Bowl win over the Atlanta Falcons. Tom Brady’s game jersey is still missing. The jersey disappeared after the game. Texas Rangers have been called into the hunt. While they are at it, they might look for the
Falcons defense. It went missing after
the third quarter of Sunday’s game. Part
of the problem is Chuck Norris/Cordell Walker is visiting Israel. When he gets back, look for the mystery to be
solved.
LeBron adds to his enemies list
LeBron James continues his off court rampage. Recently he
went off on Charles Barkley and he’s followed up on that by calling reporter,
Frank Isola and a story written by Isola trash.
Its one thing to say a report is trash, but quite another to say the
reporter is trash. LeBron was upset
because Isola had reported that James was pushing for the Cavs to acquire
Carmelo Anthony from the Knicks, even if it meant trading Kevin Love to get
him. It makes me root for the Warriors
when it comes playoff time.
MJ with the dagger
An NBA story making the rounds is how Michael Jordan told
Golden State Warriors co-owner, Joe Lacob, that the Warriors 73 win season was
meaningless since they didn’t win the championship. Well, actually I’m paraphrasing MJ because I
write a clean blog, but you get the point.
MJ has a valid point. While the
regular season record might not be completely meaningless, not winning the
championship does make it mean less. As
a Bulls fan, I say the Warriors can have the regular season record for victories;
I’ll take the championship the Bulls won.
Really, Draymond?
In another NBA family feud, Warriors designated groin
kicker, Draymond Green recently was involved in a heated discussion with Kevin
Durant. In trying to downplay the
argument, Green said there was a purpose behind his actions. That would be a little easier to believe if
Draymond hadn’t “accidently” sent pictures of his privates over social media.
The Yankees shopping at Kmart?
The Yankees took a step in free agency. Chris Carter, last year’s NL homerun champion
has signed a one year contract with the team for three million dollars. Carter comes off a year where he had a slash
line of .222/.321/.499 with 41 homers and 94 RBIs. That’s a low risk signing for someone with
Carter’s power. Of course with Matt
Holiday at DH and Greg Bird slotted at first for at least part of the time, Carter
probably won’t have the opportunity to strike out 206 times again.
More next time.
