1.    Ben Davidson.  At 6’7” with a handlebar mustache, Ben stood out in a crowd.  Ben was noted as a rough (dirty?) player.

2.    Ed and Brad Budde.  Brad looked like Ed’s clone.  Ed was great and Brad was good.

3.    Nolan Cromwell.  Nolan was one of those great all-around athlete types.  He had an excellent career as a Rams safety.  He was a three time All Pro.

4.    Larry Czonka, Jim Kiick and Paul Warfield.  Losing those three guys was a pretty good hit on the Dolphins.

5.    Jim Craig.  Life after the Olympics was rough.  He had a brief stint in goal for the Bruins.

6.    Tony Cloninger.  Tony once hit two grand slams in one game.  For his career he hit .192 with 11 home runs.  He had another season where he won 19 games for the Braves and ultimately finished with a career record of 113-97.

7.    Vince Evans.  Vince was another in a long line of guys who played QB for the Bears, but not well.  He was, however, an excellent athlete.  Something like a right handed Bobby Douglas.

8.    Nate Colbert.  Nate was an early slugger for the Padres who gave their fans something to cheer for.

9.    Matt Robinson.  Matt’s value peaked after a good half season with the Jets.  They traded him to the Broncos for a first and second round draft choice and Craig Penrose.

10.  Dave May.  The Braves caught some flak for trading Hank to Brewers, but he wanted to go back to Milwaukee.  Meanwhile, Dave May was a functional outfielder, but that was about it.
